Musician / Singer-Songwriter
Introducing the captivating musical world of Jeremy Haney, an autistic singer-songwriter who often feels misunderstood beyond the medium of live performance. But it's precisely his distinctive perspective that infuses his music with the raw authenticity and a depth of emotion that resonates deeply with audiences.
His bright soulful voice, ranging from a mature low tone to his delicate tenor high range, delivers heartfelt lyrics crafted from the mind of a poet. Since he was twelve, he taught himself to play a few instruments: Piano, Guitar and Ukulele. However, these were more than mere vessels to express music; rather sanctuaries that kept him from feeling alone.
After many years of development, he'd debut one of his first originals, Ukulele Soldier, for a live audience at his high school choir's Winter Coffeehouse. His parents would continue to foster his newfound passion, introducing him to a new world of Open Mic Nights.
He’s currently a student at Oregon State University, looking to earn his degree in Music Studies and Music Production. During this time, he has written and released two singles, as he carries an ambition to continue releasing music with the balance of college life.

During his sophomore year of high school, he discovered a new passion for photography. One of his talented cousins, Eric Lovato, continues to mentor/contribute to the venture he inspired. From learning on his first Canon Rebel T6, evolving later to his model Canon R8, Jeremy has worked towards expressing a vision of his own behind the lens of a camera.
Since Fall of 2017, he's been developing his craft through the honor of capturing hundreds of moments for local music concerts, graduation pictures, beautiful sunsets and more. He rarely edits photographs for clients, in an effort to show the state it was captured in and reduce time getting pictures back to the ones who make each frame special.
In an effort to reduce blocking the view of audience members, he tries to crouch and slide low as much as possible. However, this does not impede him from getting desired angles. On some occasions, he's squeezed his way through speakers and cautiously tip-toed over spread out XLR cables on stage to achieve some of his most memorable perspectives.
From such bands as Bluessence/Coastal Saturday to OSU's Guitar Ensemble and Music Production Program, he's had a chance to work with a plethora of talent and experience. To remember some of the highlights, he has curated a collection of his work for others to be able to enjoy: Public Gallery.

Martial Artist - Black Belt in American Kenpo
In 2011, at eight years old, Jeremy made his desire to learn karate known to the academy at Aurora Martial Arts. During his time in training, he developed an enhanced sense of self discipline, rehearsed self-defense techniques and discovered his own indomitable spirit.
During class and test demonstrations, he'd often focus on the precision of technique and the intensity of his own kiai. His dynamic, self-controlled ferocity usually made up for his lack of power during sparing matches, often known for executing the low high round kick.
In May 2017, after one of many vigorous, early morning tests, he would go on to earn his Black Belt. Transferring from the Junior to the Adult Curriculum, he would go through the belts ranks again, expanding on the material he was taught. He would continue to lead by example, while being introduced to new forms of Nunchaku, Eskrima, Staff and Jui-jitsu.
In June 2022, he earned his secondary Black Belt, the highest rank he would achieve in the system. After eleven years of hard work, he would retire from the academy to focus on his passion of music. Beyond the years off the mat, he still carries his teachings with him.
